Hua Hin > Koh Tao, Thailand Day 50
Well we have finally made it to the islands!!!
We left Hua Hin at 8.30am this morning and arrived in Koh Tao at 2.30pm not a bad trip, the water was very calm! Once again no idea of where to stay, so we are in the ‘Safety Stop Pub’ having some lunch and reading up on the island.
First decision we hired 2 scooters, the man was kind enough to mind our packs while we went in search of a bed for the night. It took a little bit of searching but we have settled on OK ll Bungalows, they are on the opposite side of the island overlooking a great little bay – Shark Bay. It was great fun trying to ride scooters with our packs strapped to our backs!! After we settled in we walked down to the rocks in front and went for a swim. Had dinner in-house then went for a hoon into town to check out the beach scene!! Wow there are so many funky little places right on the beach. They all have decks out the front with low tables and bean bags/pillows, funky. we will post some photos
On the way home we stopped at a supermarket to buy some water….bad idea!! We walked out with biscuits and cheese – real cheese….Mainland Cheese and some coke and tonic. We settled in on our little deck and savoured G&T’s and bickies and cheese.
