Laid in this morning till about 10am, then we went down for brekkie. ‘The Swedes’ turned up after and we planned out our day. We hired a canoe from the Resort and paddled around to Monkey Bay, ‘The Swedes’ walked over the hill through the jungle again. Monkey Bay is the next bay south of us around the headland.

We both packed some fried rice and snacks and spent the whole day over there. How relaxing, we spent the day swimming, reading & just chilling out. The boys rigged up a rope swing but that didn’t work very well. That must have got them going because after that didn’t work they decided to take the water out of a 10ft run about – still in good nick – but very much on a lean. Once it was floating upright they found 2 long bamboo polls and proceeded – Venice style – to take the boat out so they could go snorkelling in deeper water.

Fanny & I lazed on the beach & watched them mucking around. We canoed home, showered & now we are sitting on our deck overlooking the bay enjoying a bourbon!
