We love Island Life!! We met the Fanny & Hobrick for brekkie then the 4 of us went for a snorkel around an island about 200m off the point. It was really good to be in the water. The coral wasn’t much be there were a few colourful fish and the highlight was we saw our first turtle!! We went around the whole island then came back into the shallow & played with the Aerobi.

We ate lunch for under 9 Aussie dollars with drinks! ‘The Swedes’ decided to go for a trek over to Monkey Bay I couldn’t go because my foot is still not right so now Lee is having a snooze and I am on the balcony enjoying the view……what a life!

7pm – Monkey Time!! The locals seem to come out at this time of night. We had all our stuff out on the table including a water proof bag with Lee’s wallet & the underwater camera and one of these monkeys came along the railing & took an interest in it. I tried to scare him off but he fronted up to me. Eventually he put it down but had another go then took off.

Lee was down picking up the book he had dropped off the balcony so he was unaware of the goings on. I came around the corner of the hut and another one came bounding over the roof at me – god my heart was pumping. I ran back inside then Lee got the big stick that was outside our door & chased them away, but not until one came over the roof at him! We were wondering why we had a big stick leaning up against the wall for…….guess what now we have two!! Lee went and found one with a bit more weight to it.

Cheeky, nasty Monkeys!!!
